For several years I have struggled with cervical dysplasia, or pre-cancerous cells on the inner lining of the cervix, caused by the HPV virus. After years of doctor's visits and medical procedures, my condition was not getting better, in fact, it got worse. The doctors offered no other solutions, other than the invasive medical procedures that had not worked before. That's when I decided to take my health into my own hands. I started reading as many books as I could find on cancer and cellular health, including how diet and lifestyle influences cellular development and mutations.
In 2014, my sister Nicole was diagnosed with Stage IV esophageal cancer. That's when I realized that this journey was about much more than helping myself, but helping others. I wanted to learn about the diet and lifestyle changes that can heal the body, as well as how to share that information with others to create lasting change. That's when I decided to go to school to become a Health Coach. Nicole passed away March 2nd, 2015. Her strength and courage continues to inspire me to share this information with you and to continue shining the light brighter than ever.
I am also a 200-hour Hatha Yoga Certified Instructor. I found yoga as a way to deal with the stress and anxiety of college and have taught yoga since 2009. My personal struggle with cervical dysplasia and the loss of my sister has inspired me to help others find healing using my experience as a yoga instructor and health coach. My passion is to help women become more in-tune with their bodies and help them take control of their health. I spent the summer of 2015 travelling through the US with my dog and camper, spreading awareness of HPV-related diseases and how healthy lifestyle and diet can influence the body's ability to heal itself. I am currently residing in Moline, Illinois, working on my HPV signature program.
